Actually, my birthday was about a month ago, but was supposed to post about it.

I think posting one month after the event itself takes a little off its edge, sorry about that. I had a very surprise party that Marilia prepared, bringing some of our friends to storm my roleplaying session JUST as I was ready to lop the head off an Orc in a dark, damp dungeon. A birthday can’t get much better than that, really.

But actually it did. Surprise parties aside, I got what must have been the most “feel-good” present I had even been given so far. A book with messages and pictures from many friends, some of whom I hadn’t heard from for at least an year. They all wrote great messages which gave me some support I was in dire need at the time. So thanks to all that contributed, really really much.

Oh, and in the next day I actually got a few more presents in the laboratory. Y gave me a cake, and one of the ichinenseis gave me a block of grid paper. That was really nice, specially because I didn’t expect it at all.

Now, back to slaving away at my thesis.
