Fooled by Plala
Due to my moving, today I canceled my internet service with my Provider: Plala
Usually, in japan, service providers will offer you deals on the line of “first x months free!”. Today I found
out that such offers may sometimes be a bit misleading.
After closing my service with Plala over the phone, the operator said that the Plala payments were
displaced by two months, So I still have to pay the values for august and september in october and november! In other words, they do not REALLY offer “the first two months free”, they actually just make you pay your monthly payments two months later.
This pissed me off royally. Specially because Plala’s service was not that great to begin with - some of you might remember the nasty firewall that they had on by default, and with very little documentation on how to turn off. >:(
I’m surely NOT using plala when I install Internet in my next apartment.
