A Chimp never forgets
An interesting article where scientists compare the memorization abilities of chimps and humans - the test is to try and memorize a sequence of numbers that briefly flash across the screen.

I wonder if the fact that humans try to process the meanings of the numbers affects the results. I hope that they also do a test where, instead of numbers, meaningless symbols are used.

eu não somente “wonder”, como tenho certeza de que nós inconscientemente interpretamos todos os símbolos que vemos.
Não é à toa que a metodologia de leitura dinâmica usa uma técnica (ou diz-se usar) pela qual a gente absorve o conteúdo de um texto sem ter que obrigatoriamente ler cada uma das letras que tá escrita… (e assim não perder tempo fazendo análises sintáticas, ortográficas, semânticas, etc, etc, etc…)
