Controlling my gaming, but still too distracted…

For a while I’ve been trying strategies to get more things done, and shut up that little annoying voice at the back of my head. Last week, I managed to limit my gaming time by focusing myself to play only after 22:30.

Still, this week was terrible in terms of how much stuff I actually got done, even with the limited gaming. Which is kinda disappointing, since I was expecting to be able to at least catch up with reading some of the literature now that the thesis defense period was done…

Thinking back about this week, social media might have bigger effect on my lack of productivity than gaming. Even if the total time is smaller, it is spread all over the day, and the overhead cost of frequent context switching is taking its tool. Gaming is a bigger target, easier to hit, but restricting social media might be where it is at…

Now how to address this, that’s the question…
