Hello 2025

Happy year of the snake! Again, I made a small new year's card using pico-8, it was inspired by a cute movie of gartersnakes coming out of a hole in a garden, which I can't link because it was on twitter, and some twat ruined it... anyway...

By the way, I posted the code for this card and for the 2024 card on the lexaloffle BBS. The code for the 2023 card is there too. The code is frankly horrible, but if you want to remix these animations, be my guest!

I'm kinda late with this post. Thinking about it, I haven't felt in a "Happy New Year" mood last week. It was a good week -- I spend a lot of time online with friends playing Valheim, which was great, and I did go out once or twice during the New Years break. But I don't feel particularly festive (it might also just be how I'm feeling today, after the back-to-work).

In my head, reflections for the past year bubble up and down, as well as thoughts for the year to come. But more than that, a feeling like a warm blanket covers many of my emotions, and makes me feel like not writing a lot here. Maybe the time will come, but for now, enjoy the little animation that I did!

I wonder what is the animal for next year, and what I will draw then...
